Career Fest
Career Fest, held each year in the
fall, exposes Middle Georgia students to the numerous
educational opportunities
and career possibilities available to them after high
school graduation. Various colleges, universities, technical
institutes/college, businesses and branches of the military
represent their organizations and programs at the fair
where they talk to potential students and employees.
Each organization sets up an exhibit emphasizing the
unique fields of study or career opportunities they offer. “Parent’s
Night” is held for parents to talk to recruiters
and gather information on financial aid programs and
admission requirements for educational institutions,
the military and corporate sectors.
Eleventh and
twelfth grade students in a twelve county area from public,
private, and parochial schools are invited to attend.
Career Fest 2010
Dates: October 14-15
Career Fest was not held last year due to the downturn in the economy and lack of
funding. However, this year's Career Fest promises to be the best year, yet! We anticipate
over 5,000 students and over 200 exhibitors to join us this year. We hope your organization
will take this opportunity to meet our talented young people and provide them with the
information they need to make important decisions about their future.
On October 14-15, you will reap the rewards of seizing the opportunity to reach out to
over 5,000 high school juniors and seniors as they embark upon a new chapter of their
lives. I look forward to seeing you there!
